Every so often my husband and I take on a project together! These earrings were crafted using a dated copper wall hanging found at a local thrift shop. I carefully cut leaf shapes from the pliable metal, and Jay used his might to add a fold to each leaf [called foldforming] to create a little textural element and depth. During that process the metal hardened so the earrings will not bend. [Called work hardening.] We then painted each piece with our own patina mixture, and let them dry. These earrings are incredibly lightweight and have great movement. They are eye-catching and gorgeous! I truly love getting to work with my husband. And I am so proud of these pieces we created! Earrings measures 2.5 inches in length.
